The Holy Book of Days
An iPad app
So there I was, just getting out of a gig shortly after graduating college, one of only a few people from my class who didn't move to NYC and feeling a serious amount of FOMO. My phone rings and one of my teachers from high school, who's also an amazingly talented college professor and professional illustrator, asks me if I want to be part of a super secret project. Obviously, I was intrigued enough to say yes with what little information she could give me, and as soon as I signed an NDA, she told me we'd be designing an iPad app to accompany the BluRay release of MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, a movie I had been obsessed with for years.
Skills gained
Layout
I utilized all my acquired skills from the Communications Design program at Syracuse University. Hung punctuation? No problem.
GIF animations
As a first-time animator, I used Photoshop to create the GIFs you see above for the programmer to use when building the app.
Collage
I used original Terry Gilliam illustrations and additional resources to create the decorative borders on each page.
